Sarah Medina Camiscoli ‘21-’22 Publishes Journal Article on Subversive Legal Education

Justice Catalyst Fellow Sarah Medina Camiscoli ‘21-’22, alongside co-writers, published an article in the Fordham Law Review entitled “Subversive Legal Education: Reformist Steps Toward Abolitionist Visions”. The article challenges traditional legal education and explores several fields – including movement lawyering, Black feminism, and abolition – to encourage radical reimagination and subversion of current legal education frameworks.

Sarah Medina Camiscoli is a fellow collaborating with Public Counsel’s Opportunity Under Law Project to lead the Peer Defense Project at IntegrateNYC, an organization centering an unprecedented intergenerational movement lawyering model that catalyzes youth-led movements for civil rights.
