Jason Taper is a 2024-2025 Justice Catalyst Fellow, working with the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.) to use class action litigation to hold data brokers accountable. Jason will leverage the expertise of S.T.O.P. and its coalition partners to pioneer these claims against mass surveillance.

Jason is a graduate of New York University School of Law and the University of Texas at Austin. He became committed to supporting grassroots movements as an interfaith organizer in his home state of Texas. Seeing technology used to suppress activist movements inspired him to become a more effective advocate as a movement lawyer.
